servant or to rule her out of our lives altogether. Not that we have completely lost
our capacity to see and enjoy the beauties of Nature, but we have allowed the needs
and demands of economic and social life to lead us to take the narrow, positivistic,
and utilitarian attitude towards the value of life so that we see only the mess of
pottage, forgetful of our birthright.
