The Creation
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. On the first day, he
created the light and separated it from the darkness. He called the light "dayand
darkness "night". On the next day, he made the skies which he called heavens, and
divided the waters. On the third day, he let the dry ground appear and filled it with seed-
bearing plants and trees. Their seeds produced plants and trees of different kinds. On
the fourth day, God made the sun, moon, and stars. On the fifth day. God created great
sea creatures and every kind of bird. And finally, on the south day, he created all sorts of
land animals and the first human pair. He looked at everything he created and saw they
were all good
