Answer:One important thing we must understand is humans and all other organisms are experiencing eclipse for ages. All of us have evolved to present level while witnessing this natural phenomenon. That means if eclipse has any potential to harm, organisms must have developed immunity towards these harms. If not, after every eclipse, other organisms who do not follow such rules (mentioned in the question) would have suffered. We do not see it happening. All other animals/birds live their life as usual without cleaning them in holy river. May be these animals/birds will little scared/confused for some time as their biological clock will not match with the sudden darkness they are experiencing. But, once eclipse gets over, they return back to normalcy. This itself indicates that all the superstitions humans do are indeed superstitions and does not have any consequence on once life.
There is one important thing we must follow. It is our natural tendency to look at the eclipse (which arises because of curious nature of human beings which other organisms do not have). Looking towards eclipse and hence exposing your eyes to direct sunlight (though only the fraction of total sunlight) can cause harm to your eyes. So avoid this (this may be the reason to develop such superstitions such as stay inside the home).
Explanation: well that's it
