1. Bendian is a traditional Benguet circle dance symbolizing the unity of the community. While historical versions of this dance featured entire villages, many modern versions have smaller numbers of participants. The dancers collectively move their arms in various patterns. Bendian, Bendaan, or Bendayan literally translates to "let's see who get tired first" is a circle dance "to celebrate a victory"
2. The Ibaloi (southern part of Benguet province) and Kankanaey (lived western mountain province, northern Benguet and South eastern Ilocos Sur), both groups perform the ceremony called Bendian.
3. The Benguet dance, a ritual and ceremonial dance to celebrate victory and vengeance originated in Kabayan Benguet. In the past the biggest Bendian was to celebrate a victory in a war and a successful headhunt.
