Biodiversity is a vital resource that must be protected and sustained for future generations. Many say that extinction events are beneficial because they can lead to the evolution of organisms. For instance, the extinction of dinosaurs led to the existence of mammals. Without which, primates and humans would have not evolved. If this is the case, are the extinctions happening today beneficial? Why?
