I know, re-post. But, this circumstance is a little different. We have a banana tree section in the back yard, and I let the dogs out to go "potty" and they wouldn't come back in. So, upon further inspection, they found a way into the banana trees and were eating some bananas. I'm still dumbfounded, but maybe you guys (and gals) can help. The dogs are one American Bulldog Hound mix of about 70 lbs and a Florida Kerr (hunting mutt) of about 35 lbs. These dogs were like kids hiding in a fort inside these banana trees! It was quite humorous, but I hope they will be ok.
Update:Cur not Kerr, Thanks

Bannanas are a great source of vitamins for your dogs. The cur dog(not Kerr, just to let you know) would especially benifit from additional vitamins and minerals.
Can Dogs Have Bananas
It is alright. Dogs can actually flourish from having at least a quarter to a half a banana a day. Out Pit bulls LOVE bananas! Banana's are good for dogs because they contain potassium and some vitamins and minerals. Don't let them have that many. A very large amount(maybe more than 3) can possibly give them a tummy ache! I hope this helps!
Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aU4Rr
A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.
Yes banana's are ok to give to dogs...however just like any treat moderation is key.
I'd keep a close eye on them or try and block off the tree so they don't eat too many.
That is quite funny.
Its ok if your dogs eat bananas. just be aware that the, ahem, final product of too much fruit is the same with dogs as with humans. Be prepared to rush the dogs outside when the bananas finish processing.
I used to have a sheltie (tiny dog) that refused to eat her dog food until she had bananas put in. If we didn't have any, she would wait to eat until we went to the store to get her some, and slice it up properly for her. That dog lived to be about 17 yrs old, much longer than the average.
Yes, but try to put a limit on the amount as i find that dogs are unable to digest bananas very well.
I tried giving one to my dog (weighs 15 pounds) but she did not digest well and throw up in the end.
Ive never asked my vet about bananas, but i have always given my dogs small pieces when eating one. Im not sure what a large amount would do.
give my annie her banana and no one gets bitten. I have a pom she loves banana anything and my vet said she can have small portions but not to feed her a large amount, her favs are banana chips , she gets one a day
