Answer:
Types of Fasteners
•anchor bolt.
- Anchor bolts are designed to attach structural elements to concrete. In our industry, anchor bolts are typically used to attach steel to concrete. One end is embedded into the concrete, while the opposite end is threaded to attach structural support
•batten.
- A batten is generally a strip of timber (although it can also be steel or plastic) which is used in the construction of buildings. They are typically used as spacers to raise the surface of a material, or as a secondary framework onto which a surface may be fixed.
•bolt (fastener) Screw.
-Bolts use a wide variety of head designs, as do screws. These are designed to engage with the tool used to tighten them. Some bolt heads instead lock the bolt in place, so that it does not move and a tool is only needed for the nut end. Common bolt heads include hex, slotted hex washer, and socket cap.
Types of Gaskets
•Envelope Gasket (Double Jacketed Gaskets)
-The main advantage of envelope gaskets is that it gives the strength and characteristics of the core material along with the properties of PTFE. To enhance the properties, two or more insert materials can be used for making the gaskets. ... At food and pharma product purity of products is ensured with the use of gaskets
•Flat Metal Gaskets.
-Elastomer flat metal gaskets are seals typically used in applications where temperature and pressures rule out the use of rubber or plain elastomer rubber gaskets materials. In addition, elastomer flat metal gaskets serve to fill irregularities between two machines surfaces when under compression.
•Non-Asbestos Sheet Material Gaskets
-Non-asbestos gasket sheets are made using organic fibers, aramid fibers, NBR and mineral fibers. These can be used for application where water or oil resistance is required. Generally, non-asbestos gasket sheets are used in low-pressure apparatus, transformers, and compressors.
Types of Sealants
•Silicone.
-Silicon is one of the most useful elements to mankind. Most is used to make alloys including aluminium-silicon and ferro-silicon (iron-silicon). These are used to make dynamo and transformer plates, engine blocks, cylinder heads and machine tools and to deoxidise steel. Silicon is also used to make silicones.
•Polyisobutylenes.
-Polyisobutylene, a synthetic rubber, is primarily used in the manufacture of inner tubes of tire. Other applications include adhesives, agricultural chemicals, caulks, sealants, paper & pulp, and chewing gum.
•Polyurethane.
-Polyurethane helps conserve natural resources and helps preserve the environment by reducing energy usage. With its excellent strength-to-weight ratio, insulation properties, durability and versatility, polyurethane is frequently used in building and construction applications.
