Direction: Answer the questions below. 1. Eric keeps on listening to loud music. What will happen if he keeps on doing it
Answer:
1. Hearing loss (temporary or permanent.) Loud noise is particularly harmful to the inner ear (cochlea). Loud noise can damage cells and membranes in the cochlea. Listening to loud noise for a long time can overwork hair cells in the ear, which can cause these cells to die. The hearing loss progresses as long as the exposure continues.
2. A single night of poor or diminished sleep can lead to short-term effects, such as daytime tiredness and irritability. However, if the noise from his neighbor keeps on for days, Mang Isidro will suffer frequent or consistent lack of sleep that may increase the risk of developing longer-term, or chronic, health issues.
3. The noise can cause high blood pressure, stress, heart disease, and sleep disturbances. He may suffer from stress and other problems, such as impairments in memory, attention level, and reading skill.
