My HDMI cable is a little more than a year old. I couldn't get pictures on my TV. I played with the cable a bit and the pictures came on for a while then went black again. I think my TV and my cable box are working properly. Any ideas?

Do HDMI cables go bad?
Verified answer
You know...those connectors on the TV set are VERY FRAGILE....and the HDMI cable wire is HAIR THIN....
I hope you didn't use a BIG HEAVY set of HDMI cables on your TV's HDMI connector...those connectors break easily with all that weight on them.
The first thing I'd do is buy a nice light set of HDMI 1.3a cables from these guys....look about halfway down for the 6 to 10 footers, and get a NICE colored set .....

Then you'll know the cables are good.
And if it still blanks out....OMG you'll have to get the TV repaired, and that is REAL SALTY.....
But at least you won't have the 5 ton HDMI cable breaking your connector over and over and over.....
