Exercise No. 2
Direction: Solve the following problems using the GRESA method.
1.If a circuit has a voltage of 500 V and a resistance of 25012, what is the current?
2.A lightbulb carries 0.5 A when 4 volts is impressed across it. What is the resistance
of the filament in the lightbulb?
3. A 9 volt battery supplies power to a cordless curling iron with a resistance of
18 ohms. How much current is flowing through the curling iron?
4. A 110 volt wall outlet supplies power to a strobe light with a resistance of 2200
ohms. How much current is flowing through the strobe light?
5. A CD player with a resistance of 40 ohms has a current of 0.1 amperes flowing
through it. Calculate how many volts supply the CD player?
