LAW OF INTERACTION
Answer:
1. Action: The swimmer's feet pushes the wall as she glides.
Reaction: The wall pushes the swimmer's feet.
• As the swimmer uses her feet to push the wall to enable her to glide, the wall also pushes the foot of the swimmer with the same amount of force that the swimmer applies.
2. Action: The man pushes the refrigerator.
Reaction: The refrigerator pushes the man.
• As the man pushes the refrigerator forward, the refrigerator also pushes the man backwards with the same amount of force the man exerted on it.
3. Action: The horse pulls the wagon.
Reaction: The wagon pulls the horse.
• When the horse pulls the wagon forwards at a certain amount of force, the wagon also pulls the horse with the same magnitude of force and opposite to the direction of the force of the horse.
Explanation:
Newton's third law of motion is also known as the Law of Interaction. This states that for every force of action, there will always be an equal and opposite reaction.
