For LPA and HPA:
1. Observe the flow of the air in LPA and HPA. What can you say about the direction of the movement of the air?
2. Which of the following will be the result of an LPA? Which will be the result of HPA? And why it is called as cyclone and anticyclone?

Answer:
1. The movement of air will be from HPA to LPA.
At HPA air molecules are denser than at LPA so molecules move towards area where there is low concentration.
2. The result of LPA is a cyclone where there is air converegence. while in HPA an anticyclone is formed. A cyclone is formed when air moves around a low pressure area while an anticyclone is formed whwn air moves around a high pressure area.
