Answer:
Explanation:
1) "Act according to that maxim in which you can at the same time will that it should become a universal law."
- This is the universalizability principle of Kant's categorical imperatives, which merely states that everyone should be able to perform an action if you do. Based on what I understand of Kant's categorical imperative. It demonstrates gender equality, which implies that if there are things that males can do, then women can also do them. No matter what your gender is, everyone is treated equally. I disagree with this statement, though, because equity does not exist. This implies that everyone is capable of performing it, but that some people may find it difficult to carry out such tasks. For instance, a guy can carry a hollow block with ease, and a woman can do the same.
2) "Treat humanity, whether in your own person or in the person of any other, never simply as a means but as an end."
- This indicates, to me at least, that we should respect and not take for granted our fellow humans. Instead of treating people as a means to an end, we should view them as having inherent value. As humans, we all have worth; therefore we should respect one another as ends in themselves rather than as means to an end. However it’s heartbreaking to realize that there are people in the world who take advantage of others without considering the potential consequences of their actions.
