SCIENTISTS :
1. Sir Issac Newton.
2. Albert Einstein.
3. C V Raman.
4. Charles Darwin.
5. Srinivas Ramanujam.
6. Galileo Galilei
DISCOVERIES :
1. ISAAC NEWTON
-REFLECTING TELESCOPE
2. ALBERT EINSTEIN
-On his quantum theory of light (that light is a particle or photon);
-On the existence of atoms (the Brownian movement);
-On his theory of special relativity (that length and time are not fixed and depend on the observer's frame of reference);
3. C V RAMAN
-At this institute, Sir C. V. Raman discovered in 1928 that when a beam of coloured light entered a liquid, a fraction of the light scattered by that liquid was of a different color. Raman showed that the nature of this scattered light was dependent on the type of sample present.
4. CHARLES DARWIN
-Charles Darwin changed the way people look at living things. Darwin's Theory of Evolution by Natural Selection ties together all of the life sciences and explains where living things came from and how they adapt. In life, there is heredity, selection, and variation.
5. SRINIVAS RAMANUJAM
-Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan made contributions to the theory of numbers, including pioneering discoveries of the properties of the partition function. His papers were published in English and European journals, and in 1918 he was elected to the Royal Society of London.
6. GALILEO GALILEI
-Of all of his telescope discoveries, he is perhaps most known for his discovery of the four most massive moons of Jupiter, now known as the Galilean moons: Io, Ganymede, Europa and Callisto. When NASA sent a mission to Jupiter in the 1990s, it was called Galileo in honor of the famed astronomer.
