2. HEEL AND TOE CHANGE STEP
STEP PATTERN:
The man steps forward on right foot while the lady steps backward on the opposing (i.e., left) foot. They will then step to the side (and possibly slightly forward, in relation to the man) on the other foot, and conclude the figure by closing the first foot beside the second.
COUNTING: Place the right heel on the floor, resting on left foot (count one); bring the toe of right foot behind the left (count two); then take full polka step (count one, two, three).
3. CONTRAGANZA
Step, MARCH is given as the right foot strikes the marching surface. On the command of execution MARCH, take one more step with the left foot, then in one count place the right toe near the heel of the left foot and step off again with the left foot.

4.PLAIN POLKA
Step L (R) foot in fourth in front (ct. 1), step R (L)
close to L (R) foot in third in rear (ct. and), step L (R) in
fourth in front (ct. 2), pause (ct. and). Bend the body to the
same direction of the step. This may be executed in any direction.
COUNTING: (1) PLAIN POLKA. Music: 2/4 time. Counts 1, and, 2, and (1 measure).
5. HOP POLKA
Hop on L (R) foot, and step or slide R (L) forward
(ct. 1), close L (R) in third in rear (ct. and), and step R (L)
foot forward (ct. 2) and pause (ct. and). This may be executed in
any direction.
