Addiction to social networking, dating apps, games and messaging can lead you to the point where virtual, online friends become more important than real-life relationships.
It increases loneliness and depression. It may seem that drifting into this new world makes feelings such as loneliness and boredom evaporate into the air, but this is only temporary.
Remember the main use and objective of use of gadgets is to just communicate to your parents, teachers and family rather than being diving into extra useless information of violence. It will definitely fill you up with anxiety and fear. And it will drain your energy and brain you are a human being who is fearless.
Especially you are youth who is extraordinarily talented, powerful, active with your billion-dollar ideas. Contribute even if less or more. Society does not need brain drain, it needs brain power.
They are so obsessed because their parents have been either voluntarily or forcefully had to learn how to incorporate technology into their lives in terms of social media or work. As a result of seeing their parents doing so, the curious minds of children often try to use them from a young age, at least that's what happened to me.
Nowadays parents just use videos on their smartphone or tablets as a distraction, or even virtual pacifier, if you will to get toddlers to eat their food and not make a great big fuss. Having been exposed to these devices from a young age gets them addicted to them and that means that they have never known a life without them.
They are never able to develop themselves physically and mentally the way previous generations have: sports, exercise, social skills etc.
