Activity B: SEQUENCING PERIOD
Directions: The learners will arrange the following by using letters A-N

1. Cape the cuff around your client's arm above the elbow, not too tight or
too loose
2. Turn the screw to close it. Bloat the cuff until the dial points to 30 mm
above the palpated systolic pressure.
3. Turn the screw to close it. Bloat the cuff until the dial points to 30 mm
above the palpated systolic pressure.
4. Look your client's brachial pulse at the inside of the elbow. Hold the
diaphragm there and inflate the cuff until the pulse disappears.
5. Expose the arm of your client by rolling the sheaths up. Have your clien
arm from the elbow down to rest fully stretched on the bed or the arm of
chair.
6. Request your client to rest silently. Have him/her lie down or sit on a
chair any comfortable for him/her.
