I have an interview friday and have never been to a job interview before so i have lots of questions and am really nervous. First, what should I wear(Jeans, Khakis) or (Flip-flops, nice shoes, clogs). Second, what kind of questions do they ask and about how many people are usually at the group interviews? Also, how old do you have to be to work there? Because they asked me for the job, i didn't apply and im only 16, so does anyone know that? and if it helps i live in michigan. and what kind of qualities do they usually look for in a worker? and if you know anything else about the interviews please let me know :)

Hollister Group Interview Questions?
I have an interview friday and have never been to a job interview before so i have lots of questions and am really nervous. First, what should I wear(Jeans, Khakis) or (Flip-flops, nice shoes, clogs). Second, what kind of questions do they ask and about how many people are usually at the group...
You should probably dress in Hollister-style clothing. I don't think it matters that you are 16. I have been working legally since I was 15. Don't wear flip-flops.
I used to work at the Gap and can only assume the group interview is similar. They just want people who are extroverted and friendly, so make sure you speak up and smile and stuff.
Ok first of all they want to see you in THEIR clothes. If they see that you like their product, they know you will have no problem wearing it on a regualr basis when you work there. ( you have to dress in what they want) aka hollister clothes.
Ok SECONDLY, they usually ask why you want to apply, if you have an interest in fashion, what your future career might be..things like that.
There are usually anywhere from 20-25 people at one of those interviews, and they all line up outside the store. Wear something SUMMERY", because hollister in a city in CALIFORNIA and its warm there and the people always wear beach clothes.
Thirdly, yes you have to be at LEAST 16 years of age. (like most jobs).
They don't necessarily care where you're from, but they do liek to see qualities such as: PUNCTUALITY - don't be late for your interview, RESPONSIBILITY, do not fool around, take it seriously, GENEROSITY, they liek friendly people working and representing their company. Also, remember to stay composed, and professional.
Most of the time, they take the people who have had experience in that line of expertise, i.e sales, so put anything on your resume that has a sales background, or at least anything people oriented.
Hope this helped
Good Luck!
The "quality" they look for at Hollister and Abercrombie is looks!! If you fit their certain criteria of hardbodied, tan and beautiful, then you're in.
Just a cationary word or two for you. They will fire(layoff) people just to get "fresh" faces in the store. Lame but true. My friend used to be a manager at Hollister, and it's part of the policies for the Abercrombie company.
be prompt, dress nice (like church clothes-no jeans or flip flops) neat hair and little makeup. answer questions with simple answers but elaborate on your positives, like always prompt, and work well with others.
try not to look too nervous, if asked what job experience you have don't say "none" if you've never had a job before, you can use babysitting, volunteer work etc. as job experience, be creative, but honest.
Good Luck!
One of the questions they asked me in the interview:
Q: Why do you think any self-respecting teenager would WANT to be seen in our cheap crap?
And in response to xxianxx: That isn't gay, I'm gay. You got a problem with that?
wear nice shoes... not flip-flops.... and jeans, and a nice hollister shirt... they'll ask you weird questions like, "what do you do for fun outside of work.." and "what does diversity mean to you?" at least thats what they ask near my house...
just be yourself and be smiley!
