I am going through the weaning process at the moment and I have found that carrot and sweet potato puree is really hard to remove from clothes, bibs etc. Does anyone have a way of getting rid of these stains?

How can I get carrot stains off my baby's clothes?

I know exactly what you are talking about. I think carrots are the absolute worst (of baby food) for staining. I try to treat the stain as soon as possible with Zout. It's in a blue bottle and it works better for me than Shout or Spray n Wash. The stains come out much easier if you wash the clothes right away too, but I know from experience that it isn't always possible.
Hope that helps you some. Good luck!
i agree, i had same problem with pumpkin. Even a hot wash didnt do the trick, sometimes Vanish would help. Its best to treat the stain with a prewash stain remover as soon as stain can 'settle in'
If clothes are white or colour fast they can be bleached in wash and there is hardly any stains that will escape the bleaching treatment!
try this way , as you know red wine stains are very hard to remove but if you pour white wine on top of red wine and blot it lifts the stain out . I have removed many other stain´s this way . So pour a little white wine on top of the stain, then blot with kitchen roll, You can also try with SALT, as salt removes blood stains yet another hard one to remove , soak the the clothing in cold water add salt and leave for 1/2 hr then rinse in cold water after a couple of times it should come off. If one of these suggestions don´t work the other will
I wash bibs all together at 60 degree C with usual washing powder + 1 scoop of oxi clean. Works really well.
Biological washing powder, your baby may be sensitive to this so after soaking and washing rinse really well and then rinse twice more, suggest a plastic wipe-able bib.
Soak in nappysan or ACE bleach. All stains will vanish.
Burn it. Fire kills everything including bacteria. Seriously, why don't you buy some new clothing instead? Your husband should appreciate what a wonderful woman you are giving birth and taking care of his spawn. He should spend some money on the baby and even you. If that doesn't meld with your mind, try baking soda, warmish/hot water, and a toothbrush plus Tide, afterwards. Worked for me since I enjoy sweet potato puree every so often with my cognac.
try vanish colour wash the one in the pink tub it really works
Oxyclean... use very hot water/oxyclean mix... and dip the whole thing in the bowl/pan .... it works great!
