Step-by-step explanation:
1.Change each mixed number to an improper fraction.
2.Multiply by the reciprocal of the divisor, simplifying if possible.
3.Put answer in lowest terms.
4.Check to be sure the answer makes sense.
Step-by-step explanation:
ex:
2/3 + 1/3 = 3/3
because the dinominator is same if 2/6 + 1/3 = it means dissimilar because the the dinominator in each fraction is not same like a 6 and 3
if you want to if you want to know the answer of 2/6 + 1/3 here it is your going to do this two number (6 And 3) you need to it the same like this 8 and 8
to match that numbers...this is your going to do you will find that can times at 3 and 6 to make them same.
to make them same 6 times 3 = 18
and 6 times 6 = 1
so the dinominator is 6
and its going to be 2/6 + 1/6 but thats not all
you need to times you devide at the denominator in the numerator like i said earlier 18 and 1 and it going to be a 2/6 + 18/6 because 18 times 1 is 18 right
and now your going to solve it 2/6 + 18/16 = 20/6
but thats not all you need to lowest term that number
so 20 devide by 6 is 2 nw you will put the two in the middle of 20 and 6
so 2 times 6 = 12 right it and 12 - 20 = 8 so the answer is
2 8/6 and thats it
