God made it clear that "sin" which is "evil" by nature leads to "suffering" and alienation from him.
When we sin, it is not God that separates from us, it is us that separate from Him. Everytime we choose to disobey and neglect His divine will, we are building a demarcation line between us and God.
But despite our sins, God will always be there waiting and willing to forgive us and embrace us back if we learn to walk away from our sins, repent, and amend our ways.
