my experience of using a drawing software is that it is very similar to the traditional way. It has the qualities of the materials you use when drawing traditionally. In the digital world, we don't have wood, charcoal, or paint. Everything is the same just a variety of 0's and 1's translated to a variety of 0's and 1's translated to a visual form on the screen. I can't say which is better since digital art, in what I perceive, is just creating artwork, the same as traditional but because of the people and technology evolving that is why we have digital art.
