how do you restore a motorola cable box dct6412?
Verified answer
To reset your Moto box, press in and hold power and select at the same time. Remove the power cable and then plug it back in (while holding power and select). The box will show 888 as the channel and will be reset to factory settings. This will erase your DVR recordings, the box will become "virgin".

There is no firmware or "hack" that you can perform to get all the channels on your Moto set top. The channels that you receive are controlled by a computer called a "DAC" The DAC is connected to a billing computer that holds all of the rate codes for what you are subscribed to. The DAC sends down packages to your set top that authorize you to view channels. Unless you know someone that has access to the DAC and billing system, it is nearly impossible to hack your box.
