I have version CS2. I want to make my document a custom size. When I go to document settings and click on "custom" for page size, it gives the width as 51p0 and the height as 66p0. I don't understand what those numbers mean. How can I convert them to inches?

How do you set a page size in Adobe InDesign, in inches?

Preferences or if you have rulers visible right click on the ruler
Create a new document - Under page size select "Custom". Then you should be able to just type whatever you want in the box next to height and width. "p" usually stands for picas.
I took 8.5 inch and divided it by the 51p0 it gave me about 0.166666; I needed to create a 10" X 12" page so I took 12 divided by 0.166666 and the dimensions turned out perfect. So whatever you need in inches just take that number and divide it by 0.166666 and it converts it to picas
Hi, Make sure you have the units set to "inches" and not "inches Decimal." Let me know if this is not the problem.
