1. must be sincere 2. must accomplish it's purpose 3. must make a profound statement 4. must be technically competent (within its genre) 5. must be engaging
how to judge art...These are my ideas...anyone else have a concise way of expressing how to judge art?

I judge it by this!
(does the person creating express them self to their fullest or are they holding back)
that's it!
now to critiec the skill level I look for proper preportions, is the head to big or the table not flat ect...
are the lines of an image that is closer to the point of eye is it darker and have more detail then distant images?
is there a natural flow of the image.. meaning you read left to right!
looking at the painting is the same the viewer looks for something to carry them throught the painting.!!
frankly i have to ask!
how do you know if someone is being sincere with their art?
how do you know the tru purpose with the art (i never tell mine it;s rather personal)
i can see the statement thing but again that's rather personal!
you judge are to put in your house this is great but to judge an artist work by this isn't really realistic!
why judge?
why MUST art be any of those things?
i like art that makes me feel/think...
