Answer: The pathway of oxygen into the body starts from the nose or nasal cavity. From here, the oxygen then flows through the pharynx, the trachea, the bronchi, and into the lungs before flowing into the bronchioles and alveoli. The pathway of oxygen into the lungs is a very fundamental part of the body as it helps get air into the lungs. Oxygen facilitates the breakdown of nutrients needed to support growth and development and life in general. It plays a vital role in carrying the metabolic functions of the cells into our bodies. Without metabolism, our body will deteriorate, which may eventually lead to death because it cannot process the nutrients that the human body needs. Without oxygen, we can only survive for about 3 minutes maximum, and it also only varies from person to person. But then again, none of these are possible without the pathway of oxygen. Therefore, the pathway of oxygen in the breathing system of the human body is more than essential to every life form.
