This may seem like an obvious question to some, but a lot of people are confused about what false humility looks like, and often disagree about what exactly it is. I'm not looking for a dictionary definition, but your opinion on how it looks in real life. How do you act when you have false humility, and how do people around you act? What's the difference between false humility, real humility, and low self esteem? I just want your perspective.
How would you define "false humility"? I want to know your opinion, not the dictionary definition.?

I just do it to make others more comfortable.

False Humility Definition
To me, the primary version of false humility would be acting so, with a a part of you still feeling above everybody, still proving your superiority.
It would be almost a sarcastic attempt at congratulating another person, with maintaining an air of control of the situation. False humility generally occurs when a person who generally is incapable of humility is required to be humble. It is like a person at a event who may not say anything, though their poise suggests that they feel they are too good, or too superior for the people at the event.
I'm not sure what I'd say false humility is, but I'd say the difference between humility and low self esteem is:
If you're humble and someone compliments you, you thank them.
If you have low self esteem and someone complements you, you disagree with the compliment.
Intent. False humility, genuine humility, and low self-esteem-- intent is what seems to seperate all of these terms. At least in the sense you're currently referring to them.
The intent of a person who is portraying false humility is to appear modest. The intent of the person who is actually humble is to avoid overestimation of their own importance. The intent of the person who has low self-esteem is to keep the attention away from themselves because they have a hard time believing anything good said about them anyway. Intent goes a long way. Well, at least this is the way I see it.

"How would you define "false humility"?"
a state in which you feel a deep sense of 'self-importance'.
"How do you act when you have false humility"
phony.
"how do people around you act?"
in kind.
"What's the difference between false humility, real humility, and low self esteem?"
they are all detestable; except for 'real humility' which is meritorious.
