Will I need surgery/brace?
My mom says it looks worse than before.
I don't know if she's right.
Will I continue growing this S spine or will I stop? I just turned 17 on February, am I still growing? ):

xrays are compared to document if there has been progression of the curve. At 20-25 degrees surgery is typically not indicated. Most curves stop when you stop growing and chances are at 17 you have closed growth plates
Hiya
First of all your curvature is very mild , and NO you will not need to have surgery so try not to worry ! Only an x-ray can tell if the curve\curves have worsened but since you have just turned 17 the likely hood of the curves increasing are lower than if you were 10-16 years old . I actually have scoliosis also and am 15 and a half years old . My curvatures are pretty bad and only serious cases are candidates for the surgery which is a very serious operation which has risks , but i'd rather get it done now then be in more severe pain in the future .
I try doing exercises which don't stress my spine like swimming , yoga , Pilate's and my favourite walking ! Try stay positive and im sure you will be fine!
Hope i helped you
Good Luck

Taking calcium and magnesium will make your bones stronger but most of the time, taking those are just a measure to prevent osteoporosis. And you the exercies and pilates will help you with the curve, you're already in your 20's anf your bones are mature enough and means it already stopped from growing, having a doctor's appointment with an orthopedic surgeon could also help since they are the ones who knows this condition well and they can advice you to have therapy with a physical therapist. Your curvature is not that serious yet but preventing it to get bigger is the main thing to do.
Scoliosis can only been seen by a x-ray, unless the curve is severe in which case bigger than 20-25. See your Doctor, who diagnosed you with this problem.
only your specialist doctor can tell you the answer to this...but i can tell you if they say you need to wear a brace....make sure you wear it honey because if you don't....surgery is more than likely later on. good luck & don't worry....you will be checked very reguarly.
