im currently 9 weeks pregnant with my 1st child and i went to the dominican republic in february 2009. i visited a dermatologist over there and he prescribed 40mg of Xaltax (isotretoin) which is their version of accutane. i was on the medication from feb to april 12th and on that day i completely stopped the medication. the dermatologist said that it was safe for me to get pregnant 1 month after i stopped the medication. i concieved approximately on june 14th so that makes it 2 months later since i stopped it in april. my midwife told me that the baby should be fine since its a 2 month gap but im still worried sick about this. can someone PLEASE let me know if they ever gotten pregnant during or after the use of isotretoin??? how did it turn out???

Yes.
No, the baby should not have birth defects from the isotretinoin. The drug only stays in the system for about a month. It is safe to become pregnant thirty days after the final dose of isotretinoin is taken.
