You need to see a doctor, not Y!A!
Well if you're not sure, it's best to go to the doc to check. (I'm assuming you've *ahem* looked with a mirror? Check 'microperforate hymen' online to see diagrams/pictures)
If it turns out you have one, all that will happen is that you'll need to go to the gynaecologist and get it cut. Sounds awful, but it's no different to when you have sex for the first time - it'll hurt a bit and be a little uncomfortable for a few days after, but you'll get over it.
It's best not to try to break it yourself - it most likely won't work with a tampon and you could risk infection
EDIT: Well I'm sorry, but you don't have a choice. It's embarassing and scary and a sh*tty situation, but tampons (and in many years, sex) will be extremely painful if you don't do anything about it. This isn't just going to go away. If you want something doing about it, you need to go the doctor.
Well, if you do have one, you need to go to the doctor so they can "get rid of it" hun. :) It will hurt a bit, but like the previous answerer said, you would feel that pain when you had sex for the first time, so hey think of it like this! Maybe you won't have pain when you DO have sex one day. :) Every girl would love to have that! :) Haha. I will say this though, you could very well have a normal hymen too. When I first found out about a hymen, I went "looking" for myself too and I thought I had an abnormal one, but I didn't. Expect it to cover most of your vaginal opening, that's what it is designed to do at the moment. Don't be embarrassed. I think a test would be though is if you can't insert a regular or super tampon without pain, then you should go to a doctor. When I was a virgin, that didn't hurt me...
Having your boyfriend rip by using it sounds, way, much greater traumatizing than going to a physician. you will purely create a undesirable memory by using doing this. while you're terrified of the OBGYN, then you definately don't have intercourse. once you initiate having intercourse, you may initiate getting pap smears periodically. Imperforate, or microperforate hymens, could make a contribution to wellness issues and could be dealt with by using a physician. There particularly is not any way around this.
