No. What Awiyao did was what we'd consider today as a "d1ck move." Ofcourse the story is purely fictional but something along its lines could still happen today. Assuming that the story took place during the pre-modern times, his decision would be more understandable, but even so I would never leave the person I love mainly because of societal pressure. Ofcourse, perhaps Awiyao's wanting for a child was greater than his love for his wife but I wouldn't do that. I would've comforted, loved, and been with Lumnay until the end.
