It was at low battery so I left it to charge for a couple hours, and when I came back, the iPad was very hot all around and the screen would not appear. I tried both the soft/hard reset where I hold down the lock and home button for 15-20 seconds and that did not work. I also tried connecting the iPad to my MacBook and that proved to fail as well. Tomorrow I plan on visiting the Apple Store, but does anyone have a home solution this problem? I'd really like to figure it out on my own.

iPad Mini won't turn on?
Verified answer
Try adding charging power again for around 15 - 20 minutes, If this doesn't work do a reset (You won't loose data doing this)
Hold the Home button and Lock button until you see the Apple Logo, If this doesn't work visit the Apple store.
Well seems like something in the iPad overheated.it could be the battery inside you can look up on how to open it up and replace the battery or have the apple store open it up for you
I actually have a mini and that i grew to become it off final nighttime and it replace into positive. This morning while i attempted to tutor it returned on.not something. i attempted to tutor it on and there's a black reveal screen and an intermittent ding that this is making. i attempted keeping the two the homestead button and on/off button yet not something.
