Original Sin's "Complexity." When we assume of the first sin, we often conceive of it in a basic manner, as just eating forbidden fruit. I believe it was much more sophisticated than that, and that Adam was involved in it a bit more than is widely assumed. The first sin entailed more than just eating the fruit; it was the conclusion of the first sin. Adam's complicit silence had a role in the fall; it set the situation. In this view, the first sin is appropriately referred to as the "Sin of Adam."
