1. Simple machines are important because we grew dependent on them and use them on our daily lives. Example of it in our daily use is going up and down on the stairs, opening a jar lid or a bottle cap, and many more.
2. I wouldn't consider some parts of the human body as simple machines because I believe machines are things that are been built. I can compare a foot to a simple machine for the surface of it is flat, and slanted and can hold up our body weight.
