Artworks are named like that because it was made by acclaimed artists that proved their geniuses to the their country or even the world.
The Art we see now are from those people who made a name for themselves, those artists that we study from textbooks lived their life as Artists and therefore were recognized under the category title of ART.
Artists today work or create Art by the use of:
Their skills and talents
Their creativity
Past forms of arts as basis
We have this so-called “art style” because of our learning from the past movements and past artworks. They contributed greatly to our growth and progress as an Artist.
It does matter how the past Artists made or invented it since they are the ones who somewhat originated that form of Art.
Why is there a need to value these artwork and art movements from the past?
Because:
They served as essential basis for aspiring Artists
They preserve the culture or tradition the people used back then
They should be valued deeply since it is a treasure that past Artists did back in their own era
It also serves as a representation of the art style used in that era.
