Payless ShoeSource confirmed Friday that it will close its 2,100 stores in the U.S. and Puerto Rico and start liquidation sales Sunday. The company is also shuttering its e-commerce operations. The closings mark the biggest by a single chain this year and nearly doubles the number of retail stores set to close in 2019.
I go there for cheap running or work shoes, where do I go now?
Sign of the times
I regret saying that so many people lost their jobs. And I personally never thought that that was such a great store anyway. Hey sold mostly store brand merchandise, and their prices weren’t all that great.
I went to that store about a year ago and everything I saw for sale was just pure trash.
its very sad. Lots of these stores are closing whats going to happen were everything will be done online. and all these little department stores will be closing and the big ones will only be doing online shoppings.
It's sad that jobs are lost. It's sad that people have one less place to buy shoes.
You go to the store that you find is available to go to, or the store that you think is the next best place to go to.
Try Amazon, but be sure they can be returned.
Somewhere where you will get something other than plastic?
I know, huh. Sad.
I think it is disappointing whenever a business goes under. But I think that management had the power to save it and didn't.
In my city there are 3 payless stores within 3 miles of each other - why paying so much rent????
But I have never found any shoes worth buying there.
Walmart, Target, KMart, don't know what other stores you have in your area.
