• Area of first rectangle (A1)
Area = (2x + 1)(3x + 2)
= 6x² + 4x + 3x + 2
Area = 6x² + 7x + 2 cm²
•Area of second rectangle (A2)
Area = (4x - 2)(5x + 1)
= 20x² + 4x - 10x - 2
Area = 20x² - 6x - 2 cm²
•Sum of their areas
Total Area = A1 + A2
= (6x²+7x+2) + (20x²-6x-2)
Total Area = 26x² + x cm²
