1.CONVECTION
-Convection involves the bodily movement of the heated molecules. Convection is the process in which heat is transmitted from one place to other by the actual movement of heated particles. It is prominent in the case of liquids and gases.
2.CONDUCTION
– heat transfer from direct contact with a source of thermal energy; energy is passed from particle to particle (happens most easily in solids)
3. HEAT
4.WHITE
-It is commonly said that white is the most appropriate colour for summer temperatures because it keeps the body cool, unlike black which tends to absorb heat.
5.COOLED
-As the molecules heat and move faster, they are moving apart. So air, like most other substances, expands when heated and contracts when cooled. Because there is more space between the molecules, the air is less dense than the surrounding matter and the hot air floats upward.
6.COPPER
-Metals like copper and aluminium have the highest thermal conductivity while steel and bronze have the lowest. As copper is an excellent conductor of heat, it is good for heat exchanger also. Gold, Silver, Iron etc are also some examples of good heat conductors as well as electrical conductors.
7.CONDUCTORS OF HEAT
-Materials that are good conductors of heat are called thermal conductors. Metals allow heat to flow through them easily.
8. GRAMMA REYS
-The energy of a wave depends on its wavelength: the longer the wavelength, the lower the energy. Therefore, in the electromagnetic spectrum, gamma rays have the highest energy, and long radio waves the lowest. The sun emits visible light, but also infra-red (IR) and ultra-violet (UV) radiation.
