Answer:
Ferdinand Magellan
A voyage filled with tragedy and hope
To see a world unfold,
A tail of 1505 is told,
Now that Ferdinand Magellan is old,
He had no sense of how far Europe to the Far East was,
But he never gave up his great love,
Although it was cold he went for the gold,
To places untold
After 98 day without seeing any land, ran out of food,
From Europe to the southern hemisphere didn’t fit,
Crew members had to admit that they wanted to quit
19 men said their goodbyes before they reached March 9th
People of Guam and islands nearby prevented Magellan to resupplying his ships,
The crew members got enough food to get fit,
They set west, and had to try their best,
Philippines had arrived,
Unfortunately a great man had to said goodbye,
Magellan was killed on April 27th,
A tragedy told still hope till to go,
110 men remained to carry on the hope of a friend below,
His legend remained all the way back to Spain
Only 18 survivors made it back to the starting spot,
Those people completed the dream of Ferdinand Magel
