The huehueti is a Mexican percussion instrument used by Aztecs and other cultures. It's an upright tubular drum with skin spread over the end, constructed from a wooden body that's open at the bottom and sits on three legs cut from its foundation. It can be pounded with a wooden mallet or by hand.
