I recently discovered the "Sound Check" option in iTunes; and for the most part, I think it is a good little tool.
Anyway, I had not discovered this tool before I put all of my music on to my iPod Nano. Now, I know I have to turn on the "Sound Check" option on the iPod as well... but my question is:
Will I have to delete all of the music currently on there (iPod)... and then put it back on again; or will plugging it and turning on the tool somehow give me the now analyzed "Sound Check" songs?
If I am to erase and re-copy songs... is there a quick way to delete all songs on my iPod without formatting it (i.e. keep settings, etc.)?
Thanks...
Update:Also note that I have already turned on the "Sound Check" option through iTunes... and thus, all of the songs have now been analyzed and adjusted.

No, just check the option in itunes, and re-sync your ipod and all the songs will have sound check..so the rest of the concerns stated in your question should not be an issue anymore :)
