Always be ready for we don't know on what day or what time our Lord will come. We should act like those five wise virgins who prepared themselves for the coming of the Groom. Like what the five wise did, we should be careful of what we are doing.
"But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps." (Matthew 25:4)
It tells us that we should think about the future and not the present alone. Christ said that he will come in the time we don't expect. Therefore we should prepare ourselves and make sure that we have enough oil on our vessels when He comes.
"Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh." (Matthew 25:13)
