The protagonist, Lam-ang, sets out in the middle of "The Life of Lam-ang" to find his missing father, Don Juan, who was murdered by a band of Igorot warriors.
Along with his devoted dog and rooster, Lam-ang embarks on his journey. He defeats numerous foes along the way, including a giant named Sumarang and a group of crocodiles in the Bumbaran River, by using his superhuman strength and abilities.
Lam-ang eventually makes it to the settlement of the Igorot warriors who murdered his father. He puts Paccalinug, their greatest warrior, to the sword and ends up killing him. Then he demands that the Igorot chiefs divulge where his father's corpse is. They finally cave and take Lam-ang to the location of Don Juan's grave.
Lam-ang uses his powers to revive his father, and they return home together. Along the way, they encounter the beautiful Ines Kannoyan, whom Lam-ang falls in love with. He proposes to her, and she accepts.
The middle part of the story is important because it shows Lam-ang's determination and bravery in avenging his father's death, as well as his incredible strength and powers. It also sets the stage for the final part of the story, where Lam-ang faces his greatest challenge yet in his quest to be with Ines Kannoyan.
