NILE RIVER
The Nile is a major north-flowing river in northeastern Africa. It flows into the Mediterranean Sea. The longest river in Africa, it has historically been considered the longest river in the world, though this has been contested by research suggesting that the Amazon River is slightly longer. The Nile is amongst the smallest of the major world rivers by measure of cubic metres flowing annually. About 6,650 km (4,130 mi)[a] long, its drainage basin covers eleven countries: Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Ethiopia, Eritrea, South Sudan, Republic of the Sudan, and Egypt. In particular, the Nile is the primary water source of Egypt, Sudan and South Sudan.[10] Additionally, the Nile is an important economic river, supporting agriculture and fishing.

#LetsStudy
The biggest river in the world is not a single, large body of water. It’s actually an ocean—the Pacific Ocean! The largest rivers are called “rivers” because they flow into oceans or seas. Rivers can be very big and have lots of tributaries (smaller streams that join together to form one larger stream). But there are only two true rivers on Earth: the Amazon River and the Nile River. Both these rivers start as small mountain springs before flowing through jungles for thousands of miles until they empty into the Atlantic Ocean. They both also contain many smaller tributary rivers. So if you want to know which is bigger than the other, it depends where you measure from. If we compare them at their widest point, then the Amazon has more volume. However, when comparing them at their narrowest points, the Nile wins out with over twice the width of the Amazon. This means that the total length of the Amazon is about three times longer than the Nile. And since the Nile flows all year round while the Amazon does not, this makes the Nile much wider during its flood season. In fact, the average width of the Nile is almost double the width of the Amazon.
