The northeast monsoon or amihan has weakened, now only affecting northern Luzon, while the easterlies have been prevailing over the eastern portion of the country.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) on Wednesday afternoon said it has not monitored any low-pressure area or any tropical cyclone that may influence the country’s climate.
But Batanes and the northernmost provinces of Luzon will have cloudy skies and light rain because of the amihan, and although the presence of easterlies means warm and humid weather in the eastern parts, rain may still occur in that area on Thursday, the state weather bureau said.
