ASTRONOMY
ANALEMMA
In the field of astronomy, the solar analemma refers to a figure or illustration, exhibiting the position of the Sun in the planet's sky, as seen from a certain point or fixed position on Earth at the same mean solar time, as that position changes throughout the entire year.
The solar analemma, mainly resembles and represents the figure of 8 or the infinity symbol.
What would be the shape of the Solar Analemma if the speed of the Earth around the sun is not uniform throughout the year?
In my opinion, the shape and diagram of the solar analemma will greatly change if the planet's speed of rotation around the Sun becomes inconsistent.
It will most likely look like an infinity symbol but far larger and longer, and the spaces between the Sun in the diagram will not be exact and uniform anymore just like the original analemma, there might be a position where the Sun in the diagram are closer together or farther apart from each other, because of the sudden change in Earth's speed of rotation and the number of Sun in the diagram will surely increase or decrease depending on the speed of rotation.

Answer:
Hi Ethan! If the speed of the revolution of the Earth is inconsistent, then the shape of the orbit will still be an infinite symbol or the number 8, but an elongated one.
Explanation:
Example is yoyo, if you spin around a yoyo in a definite shape at a constant speed, it won't deform or such. If you increase the speed and then decrease, it will change the shape of the orbit and it then depends if it will be faster then slower vice versa.
PS: I have bad explanation.
