You wouldn't actually have insurance, that would be voided by the simple fact that you would not be driving in accordance with the law.
What would happen? car impounded, large fine for driving illegally and driving without insurance, loads of points or a straight ban.
Even if you only got six points then they would well kick in when (if) you got your full license which would then mean a ban anyway.
As you are driving other than in accordance with your licence (3 points and a fine for you) you are also uninsured (6 to 9 points plus a fine also for you) It is likely that the magistrates would ban you from driving for at least 6 months too. If the car owner knowingly let you drive the car then they get the same pounishment in points and fines as you do. If the owner did not know then you would also be charged with "Taking a Vehicle without the owners consent. When caught the car would be confiscated and unless reclaimed by the owner with suitable insurance within 14 days it is sold or crushed. To reclaim the car there is a towing charge of around £120 plus a daily storage fee to pay too. Anyone doing what you have done or suggest would have to be pretty stupid.
because you would not driving other than in accordance with a license your insurance will therefore be invalid so if caught you would get a hefty fine, points, your car seized (as you would if u had no insurance at all) and likely get a summons for court and possibly disqualified from driving
But trust me m8 don't risk it cos it will do you a lot of good harm if caught and its hard to get away with it these days with more patrols, all these anprs etc
You would be banned from driving for about a year, your insurance would be void as you would be driving without a full licence holder so when you go for insurance again it would be very expensive.
when i did this i had to leave car for some one to pick it up 3 pints and a 60 pound fine but i told them the truth that i did not have a full licence this was about 5 yeas ago after that i passed my tests best thing i have done
well it is illegal as you know, if you have an accident then insurance won't cover. if stopped by the police you get points on your licence and may get disqualified and police will take the car and someone with a driving licence will have to pay a fee and collect it back.
dont be a twit, if you get caught you could lose your licence,be baned from driving ,if you have an accident i hate to think what will happen,
think of the future insurance is high now what will it cost you
THINK LONG AND HARD BEFORE GOING IT ALONE!!!!!!
fined and points
possible ins void
driving not according to your licence
if you were very lucky you would get a warning but in most cases you would get a 12 month ban
"I can drive ok..."
And you have proved this, by passing your driving test, haven't you?
No you, haven't.
Your own opinion of your driving ability means absolutely nothing in the real world.
