Your fighting a no bars hold war for survival and you come up with a more powerful weapon before the other guy does. Your going to use it. If you don't you will wish you did. There was really no other thing to decide. Deal with the consequences later.
The Doolittle Raid was in 2942 at the beginning of the war and the fire bombing of Tokyo was near the end of the war but what convinced Truman was the thought that we might lose a million men if we invaded the Japanese mainland.
D. The possibility that Japan would arrange surrender to the Russians after their invasion of Manchuria. Northern Japan was next in line.
he was pursueded by the powers that be behind the scenes
basically Zionists couldn't resist trying it out
It was none of these. It was about the USSR/Stalin.
There was never any possibility of an invasion of Japan. This is a lie. There are freaking minutes of the meetings they had where they discuss the lies to make up to sell a nuke to the public and that was one of them.
None of the above. Truman ordered the dropping of the atomic bomb because it was then a wonder weapon which held out hope for a quick end to the war. The US was looking at a massive and bloody invasion of Japan.
D) None of the above. Truman chose to drop the bombs to prevent the need for an a ground invasion that would have resulted in hundreds of thousands of casualties. Also, to prevent the USSR from getting into the act since the war in Europe was over.
BTW, the island hopping strategy WAS successful and the Doolittle Raid served its purpose, which was primarily propaganda. Tokyo and other cities were later firebombed to hell prior to the atomic bomb drops, inflicting more casualties than the atomic bombs did.
The war in Japan during World War II
None of the above.
B & C are clearly wrong. So the answer must be A.
