I get the whole 'on stage' persona, but why does musician/guitarist Buckethead wear the mask and bucket ALL the time? What's wrong with him?
It bothers me and I really need to know the reason why he started wearing it in the first place? Of all the props you could use, why a bucket??
Thanks :)

He wants to be mysterious and he believes that he looks appealing to his audience which he does. There are pictures of him without the mask but he's definitely the artist with the least known background. Buckethead from time to time changes his mask to a michael meyers mask or something else scary. The white mask shows that he has lost the color in his face because he's half dead. Buckethead wears a KFC bucket on his head because it represents how he grew up in a chicken coup. These days he wears a funeral bucket or a plain white bucket.
I read in a biography that he was eating KFC fried chicken and decided "hey, I'm gonna wear a greasy KFC bucket on my head to be unique" I have no Idea about the mask though. I was asking my band teacher and she suggested that maybe it was so he could also live a normal life. I mean, how annoying would it be to never be able to enter public?????????
