Answer:
Very few modern farmers do this in my experience.
I hear of gardeners that follow it, but rarely serious farmers.
There are a few people who follow biodynamics which has a number of magical sounding ideas including seeding by moon phases. I understand that it has a number of incantations and rituals as well. I once met someone who said he farmed using biodynamics. He explained to me about one practice of burying a horn filled with silica in a corner of his field and that it needed special preparation with chanting and was done at a certain part of the moon cycle. It was later dug up and spread on a large field on the plant leaves and it helped with light absorption or something.
When I read things written by or for biodynamics farmers, There are a lot of descriptions of why these odd things work with words that might sound like science to people who want to believe it and are not skeptical in a similar way as questionable alternative medicine uses words that sound like science to some people. I would argue it is pseudo science with a similar level of scientific integrity as homeopathy.
Most farmers I know prefer to follow ideas recommended by people who do credible research
